words of wednesday

Kay, peeps. Here comes another weekly feature. It's called WORDS OF WEDNESDAY. I just realised that I haven't posted my cheesy-and-corny poems for a little while. Now I'm trying to post one poem per week in this feature. Please give feedback. Thanks! =]

In the midst of a cold autumn night,
here your eyes shining bright:
shimmering. A candle in the dark.
And though I've been shaking and pale as white,
now you make me feel better than alright.

found in borma

My mom and I went to Borma to do some grocery shopping tonight. While she was looking for shampoo, I wandered around the bags session. And look what I found there!

Yes, yes. It's an elephant bag, ladies and gentlemen. AN ELEPHANT BAG. It's IDR39,000. To buy or not to buy?

And while looking for body lotion, my mom found this:

If you don't know what's so special with this lotion, here's the story: My family once had a small shop. One of the stuffs sold there was this lotion. It's IDR1,900 now, but I don't remember how much it cost back then. It's such a classic lotion (is 'classic' a right word? Haha!). We didn't know that it still exists. So, when my mom found it, we were like "Oh, God! I can't believe it still exists! It's been, like what? Fourteen years?" We were so noisy! Haha...

I also had to fight the urge to play Dance Dance Revolution. Hehe :p

texts and scars: unrelated things

29 Mar 2011

Last week, I missed PLSBT class because I forgot that it had been moved to Tuesday 8.50pm. This morning, Mira, Mr Boyfriend, and Day texted me, reminding me that I had a class in the morning. Haha!

In a different topic, look at those mini band aid I have on my thumb and point finger. I bit the cuticles and I got scars here and there. I really have to stop this bad habit!

monotonous monday

28 Mar 2011

Hello! Miss my personal entry? ;-)

I've seen bloggers doing weekly features, like Kaelah's Music Monday, Wedding Wednesday, and Sunday Spotlight, or Kate's TV Tuesday and Truth Thursday, and I myself have been posting Quoted Saturday for a few weeks now, but I really want to try and give a new weekly feature. So here it is: MONOTONOUS MONDAY.

Yes. As dull as it sounds, this feature will be about what happens in my day every Monday. And this Monday, I

  • showed up late (again) to Translating class. Thank goodness the classroom was still locked, so I wasn't considered as "late". Haha... ;
  • didn't get anything from any class I had today;
  • had lunch with Mr Boyfriend;
  • had a little fight with him;
  • stayed for an hour or more in Entin's place;
  • went to work;
  • went home before dusk;
  • have Exploring Poetry and ESP assignments due tomorrow;
  • am blogging instead!

That's it (I guess...) So, how's your Monday been? =]

getting to know you

27 Mar 2011

Kay. Now I'm doing another challenge. It's called "Getting to know YOU". Keely posted this every Sunday on her blog, so I think I'll try it this week. Enjoy!

1. What inspires you?
Nothing. Really. The only thing/person having the ability to move me is myself. Haha! But I have some things/people I look up to.

2. What was the last thing you bought yourself?
I treated myself McFlurry yesterday. I love McFlurry. Do you? =]

3. Would you rather watch a movie in a theater or from the comfort of your own home?
I think I'll choose being home watching DVDs, cause I could press that pause button at any time and go to the bathroom without missing anything. Ha!

4. Household chore you don't mind doing?
I don't mind doing anything but drying the laundry. No!

5. Coffee or tea?

6. What could you eat every day and not get sick of??
I don't know. I never get sick of eating chicken, meat, and eggs. Haha!

7. What's the last book you read?
The fourth installment of Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Funny book. You should read all four of the series!

8. Do you think you "look" your age?
Absolutely, yes. Though my friends keep telling me that I look like a woman with children, no, I look exactly like a 19 year old girl =]

scavenger hunt sunday

This week, I'm trying to join this weekly photo challenge called Scavenger Hunt Sunday. There are 5 things you should interpret in the form of photograph each week. These are my interpretations of this week's 5 things.

1. Decay (old/abandoned)
This is my diary. I've abandoned it since October 2010. Why? I don't know.

2. Groups of Three
These are the new babies of my elephant family. Read more about them here.

3. Kitchen
It's so messy here. Haha!

4. Things that make you go hmmmm...
Would like to put them into my mouth, munch them, and swallow them... No! They are soaps. Yes, for real.

5. Me time
This photo was taken when I was having my me time on Friday =]

Please excuse the poor quality of my photographs. I took them with my camera phone. Have a nice Sunday! =]

"You are the best one of the best ones."

it's 1.26am and i am writing a new blog post

If you've checked this blog some times around 3pm and now, you might have seen that it's been such a mess. I'm doing some changing here and there. I also have a new header, which is only a temporary one. I'm making the real one as soon as possible. But right now I really need to close my eyes because I've been staring at my laptop screen for more than 12 hours (yep! This is sickness!)

Kay, bye.

me time

25 Mar 2011

Today I only had one class in the morning. I showed up an hour late (hehe...) and lucky me, the teacher didn't come. So I was still able to enter the classroom. Just five minute after I set my butt on the chair, the class was dismissed. I would have been pissed if I didn't have any plan after class. But since I did have to go to work, it was fine. It was way more than just "fine", it was awesome! Haha... So to kill the time (because I still got an hour before leaving to work), my girls and I were hanging out on the parking lot, talking about some issues. After that, I went to work. I only worked for about an hour, then I went to Entin's place. But she was leaving to go back to her hometown, so here I am all alone. Mr Boyfriend is also back to his hometown. That's okay, though, because I'm having my me time here in Isola =]

Isola has this pond in front of it. There a lot of big fish. By "a lot" I mean "A LOT!" and by "big" I mean "GIGANTIC!". Yes, yes... They are all so HUGE! Haha... I might feed them someday. When I got here, I saw a lady and her son playing with the fish. I really wanted to join them, but... I was too shy :p

Anywho, please excuse the crappy quality of the last picture. It's so bad because I took it with my webcam.

And... This is the last but not the least =]

well, i really don't feel like writing anything tonight...

24 Mar 2011

There is one thing that makes me want to break a glass or two today. So, I guess I'm leaving y'all with this screen capture of what Tumblr had given me tonight.

a rare occasion

23 Mar 2011

How many times can you find all five of us sitting in the library? Rarely.

But there we were, preparing for the curriculum management observation. Ian read the books. Day took over the laptop from Entin to find things on the internet, while she laid her aching head for a moment. Mira took notes. And I... I took pictures of us :p

strike three!!

A few days ago, I introduced you to my cute gray elephant, Roberta. Today, the family welcomed Carlotta the Purple and Rosmerta the Pink. Yay! They were, again, bought by my sweet, sweet boyfriend. I cried when he gave them to me. Oh God, how lucky I am... :')

tumblr tonight

22 Mar 2011

God, instead of doing Language in Society chapter report which is due tomorrow, I've been spending my night editing my Tumblr layout to look like this:

But everytime I hit that "Save" button, this keeps popping out:

a taste of awesomeness

'tis what you'd get if you 'close your eyes' for a moment in the classroom

21 Mar 2011

First, your friends would take your phone and messed around with the camera.

And then you'd get swollen eyes. Ah, well...

follow friday

Kay. I know it's only Monday, but God knows I cannot wait until Friday to promote this awesome Twitter account! Follow them. You'll love their hell-arious tweets =]

a new blog layout for mijra

20 Mar 2011

Mijra had been begging (yes, begging :p) for me to edit her blog layout. She has 'watching the sky is fun' as her blog address and 'hello, sunshine!' as the title. At first I couldn't decide whether to use sky or sun as the general theme for her blog, but then I found this template on called Blue Love Letter. It's so cute! So I decided to use it and then I created a sky header. Here, have a look! =]

I'm so glad I finally made it to edit her blog. I hate, hate, HATE blog with odd layouts (like hers before being touched by me). In my opinion, layout is the most important thing because it gives the first impression. If your blog layout is poorly edited, chances are readers won't be interested, even though you have good writings.

I'm gonna learn how to edit (or even CREATE!) blog themes and layout as soon as possible =]

I signed myself up for this newscaster audition. One chosen person will go to ALSA UI EComp to join the Newscasting Competition. There were only five participants on the newscaster audition, one on the speech, and two on the story telling. Quite a small number, eh? Yes, yes, it was, indeed. Still, I wasn't chosen. Haha!

Nuff now. I have to write the report of this event for zEPHyr. Bye! ;D

"Scream your heart out!"

for japan with love

I usually write up to three blog posts everyday, but as some of you might've noticed, I didn't post anything yesterday. I joined this Bloggers Day of Silence. I cannot do anything else for them except to pray for the best. Today's newspaper said that some Japanese people volunteer to sacrifice themselves to go into the nuclear reactor in Fukushima for the sake of the world. Man oh man, I almost cried when I read those people's family testimonials. They are so brave.

a package from the united states

17 Mar 2011

A few weeks ago, Lee Lee posted Pay It Forward on her blog. I was one of the lucky winners. And tonight when I came home, this package had already been waiting for me. Apparently it took nine days to be delivered from United States to Indonesia. Sweet! Big thanks to Lee Lee =]

challenge accepted!

This morning, Day asked me to wear pashmina. I had never worn one before, cause I kinda felt it would make my face look even more oval and my pimples would be more visible. Nay!! But, on a second thought, perhaps it would be okay to give it a try, just for today. So... yeah, I wore it. And... it looked good! Here, have a look:

Oh hello, Mr Boyfriend! I didn't notice you were behind me ;p

I didn't look that bad, right? Hehe :p

Also, today Entin and I played badminton with other English students. And by 'played' I really mean that we were playing around. She and I cannot play badminton! We didn't have a clue as to what to do next and whose turn to serve it was. Lame!

Yes. That's me. Behind Entin (red-shirt girl).
Please excuse the crappy quality of the picture. Mr Boyfriend took it with his phone in a poor light. Actually, it's an interesting story. When I finished one game (we actually just played ONE GAME ONLY and God, I was sweaty already!), he came and told me that he took some pictures. "You wanna blog about it, right?" he said. Yes, Mister, Yes! You're very right! You know me so well. I love you... =]

look at me. i forgot to put the title on this blog post so i have to go back and edit it. lame! haha...

Hello! So, apparently it's just 7.45am, while I have to go at 9am. I still got a plenty of free time, so I'm having a cup of tea and surfing the internet right now, tumbling across hundreds of Tumblr blog pages. And I found these so-true/sweet/funny things. I'm sharing it with you, so ENJOY! =D

Who knew they'd end up as an item? ;D {source}

This gif is oh-so-amazing! XD {source}

LMAO! {source}

I want these. All of them! {source}
